Cupioromantic, previously known as kalosromantic, is a micro-label on the aromantic spectrum.

Cupioromantic flag made by anonymous DevianArt user in October 2020.
The label cupioromantic is defined as someone who does not experience romantic attraction but still desires a romantic relationship.
Cupioromantic people are usually romance favorable, but they do not have to be.
The label cupioromantic may also be used by people who sometimes feel romantic attraction but still desire a romantic relationship even without attraction.
For example, a demiromantic person who dates someone before they feel attraction to them, possibly on the assumption that they will develop romantic attraction later on, may call themself cupioromantic.
Another example of an aro-spec person using the term cupioromantic would be a frayromantic person who still dates someone even after they lose romantic attraction to them.
There is also a sexual equivalent of cupioromantic which is cupiosexual.
History[]
The term Kalosromantic was composed by Tumblr user acelyssie on or before June 16, 2014.
It is unknown when the term was changed to cupioromantic, but it seems to have been changed due to an overwhelming amount of pokemon jokes and a misunderstanding of the Greek word "kalos"
Flags and symbols[]
Prior to the coining of the cupioromantic flag, there was the general cupio- flag. The first recorded instance of the cupio- flag being used was on the 4th of July, 2015. Unfortunately, it is not known who may have designed this flag. Because of this, we also do not know what the colours of the flag mean.

Another cupiromo flag.
The cupioromantic flag has been around since 2020 and was created by an unknown user on DeviantArt. Although we do not know the meaning of the cupio- umbrella-flag, it is known how the cupioromantic flag came to look the way it does now; since it was designed to differentiate from cupiosexual, following the distinction between aromantic and asexual, the cupioromantic flag is the cupiosexual flag turned upside-down, much in the same way the aromantic flag and the asexual flag mirror each other. The cupioromantic flag also has one stripe more than its cupiosexual counterpart, again much like the aromantic flag and its asexual equivalent. The cupiosexual flag's final pink stripe is replaced by peach, to represent romantic rather than sexual attraction.
