Yinyang ren symbol
Yinyang ren (simplified Chinese: 阴阳人; traditional Chinese: 陰陽人) are people (rén) who are both yin or feminine and yang or masculine in approximately equal proportions, in Chinese culture, used to describe people who possess both feminine and masculine qualities. Yinyang ren are generally expected to have an androgynous gender expression and be bisexual. Some yinyang ren identify as cisgender but gender non-conforming, while others are transgender, non-binary and/or intersex.
While yinyang ren is most commonly used to descibe intersex individuals, one does not have to be intersex to idenify as yinyang ren, but one does have to be part or fully chinese, It can be seen as exetremely disrespectful for a non-chinese person to call themself a yinyang ren, and they do also not have to practice taoism,
Yinyang ren is very similar to bigender, however the two are not interchangable terms and should not be confused
Yinyang ren is the direct chinese translation for the english word intersex
Flag

Another yinyang ren flag
The main flag consists of the taoism symbol, or the yinyang, this symbol represents balance, in this context it is representing the balance between gender, the red is representing the dream of the red chamber,
The flag with the yellow background has little information on its meaning however like the main flag it has the taoism symbol, again representing balance, the circle around the symbol represents intersex yinyang ren, it is believed this flag originated on tumblr however it is extremely hard to find the origins of the flags due to the little representation and people who know about this idenity
Cultural Importance
Not many chinese people identify as yinyang ren, not many chinese people even know about it, However there is a very culturally novel in china called Dream of The Red Chamber published in 1791, in which the main character is a yinyang ren.
The main character in Dream of The Red Chamber, is named Baoyu. In chinese culture yang can be used to represent a male, and yin can represent a female, Baoyu is physiologically male, They have a strong romantic attraction to young women, which are both classified as yang, however they strongly attracted to some boys, and the description of their psychological reaction to meeting a male is one of the most acute descriptions of the aesthetic appreciation of one person by another to be found in world literature, in those cases they are strongly yen.
